1996 Chevrolet Corvette Corvette & Convertible

Description

Vehicle Description Here is one for the true C4 enthusiast! This beautiful 1996 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible represents the final and arguably one of the most desirable years of the legendary fourth-generation Corvette. Finished in classic Bright Red with a White convertible top over a striking Red leather interior, this Corvette has traveled just 30,000 original miles and has spent its life between the dry, favorable climates of Florida and Nevada. What really separates this Corvette from the crowd is what sits under the hood. For 1996, Chevrolet introduced the 5.7-liter LT4 V8, producing 330 horsepower and available exclusively with the 6-speed manual transmission. Offered for just this final year of C4 production, the LT4 gave Chevrolet's outgoing Corvette one last serious performance upgrade before the arrival of the C5. Paired with the 6-speed manual, this is exactly the drivetrain combination enthusiasts want in a final-year C4.The condition of this Corvette speaks for itself. The Bright Red exterior retains a beautiful deep shine and presents exceptionally well, complemented perfectly by the White convertible top. It rides on a great-looking set of chrome five-spoke wheels wrapped in Continental tires. Under the hood, the LT4 engine compartment remains remarkably clean and original in appearance, and a look underneath further reflects the kind of life this Corvette has enjoyed, with exceptionally clean suspension components and none of the corrosion typically associated with cars that spent their lives in harsher climates. Inside, the Red leather interior is equally impressive. The seats, carpeting, dashboard, door panels and controls have all been beautifully preserved, and the car retains its factory-style cockpit rather than having been modified with a bunch of aftermarket electronics. Even the bright red carpeting tells the story of how carefully this Corvette has been kept. An additional replacement center-console trim piece is also included should the next owner ever choose to install it. Just as importantly, this isn't simply a Corvette that photographs well. It runs and drives beautifully. Everything operates as it should, the air conditioning blows cold, and the combination of the LT4 and 6-speed makes it an absolute pleasure from behind the wheel. It also comes accompanied by its owner's materials, Corvette documentation, keys/remote and additional pieces shown in the photos. The Carfax history is clean and accident-free, further complementing what we see throughout the car. The C4 has finally begun receiving the recognition it deserves, and the cars that stand apart are becoming increasingly obvious: low-mileage, well-preserved examples with the right colors, the right history and, most importantly, the right drivetrain. A final-year 1996 LT4 6-speed convertible with only 30,000 original miles checks an awful lot of those boxes. If you've been waiting for a beautiful C4 that is special enough to preserve yet nice enough to get in, drop the top and enjoy, this is one worth taking a serious look at.
