Description
Vehicle Description This 2013 Acura ILX 2.4L Premium is one of the coolest affordable cars we've had in a long time because it has the right drivetrain, the right look, and the right history all in one package. Finished in Bellanova White Pearl over Ebony leather, this is a clean Carfax, no-accident, no-blemish vehicle and it has been tastefully upgraded with high-gloss black multi-spoke sport wheels, black grille treatment, dark window tint, upgraded suspension, subtle red exterior accents, red interior details, and a lower, more aggressive stance. Most importantly, this is the enthusiast version with the 2.4-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine paired with the close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission. That combination alone makes this one a completely different animal from the average ILX.The biggest story here is the 2.4-liter naturally aspirated i-VTEC engine with the 6-speed manual. This is the drivetrain Honda and Acura enthusiasts actually want. The engine loves to rev, the power delivery is smooth and linear, and the close-ratio manual keeps you involved every second you're driving. When the i-VTEC system comes alive higher in the RPM range, the car has that classic Honda character that made these drivetrains famous. Add the manual gearbox and this is not just transportation. It is genuinely fun.Acura also gave the 2.4-liter version exclusive exhaust tuning, so it has a sportier personality than the basic ILX. Combine that with the upgraded suspension and lighter compact chassis and the car feels tight, responsive, and far more entertaining than you would expect at this price point. The exterior is where this particular ILX really separates itself. The Bellanova White Pearl is contrasted perfectly by the black sport wheels, blacked-out grille, dark window tint, sportier side treatment, subtle front lip styling, rear spoiler, and red accent details. The white, black, and red theme works incredibly well and gives the car a clean Japanese sport-sedan look without making it feel overdone. The upgraded suspension is another huge part of the look and feel. It gives the car a lower, more planted stance while also making the ILX feel sharper through corners. The black wheels fill the arches perfectly and give the car much more presence than the factory setup.Inside, the Ebony leather interior continues the sporty theme with red accents, red instrument illumination, aluminum sport pedals, leather-wrapped shift knob, ambient cabin lighting, and a clean driver-focused layout. The interior is sporty without trying too hard and still retains the comfort and build quality Acura is known for.The heated front seats are another big plus and make this a much better year-round daily driver. You also get dual-zone automatic climate control, auto-dimming rearview mirror, Smart Entry with push-button start, power windows and locks, cruise control, steering-wheel controls, and all the premium convenience equipment that came with the 2.4L Premium model.Technology was surprisingly strong for 2013. You get a multi-angle rearview camera with guidelines, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink, SMS text-message capability, USB and auxiliary inputs, Pandora integration, and a factory 360-watt AM/FM/XM/CD stereo system with six speakers and a subwoofer. That upgraded factory stereo is another nice feature. You get more output and better bass than the basic system, while vocals and spoken audio come through noticeably cleaner. If you listen to music, it has much more punch. If you mostly listen to podcasts or audiobooks, voices still sound more crisp and clear. The exterior equipment also includes automatic xenon HID headlights, fog lights, heated power mirrors, and a one-touch power tilt moonroof. The HID headlights give the front end a more upscale appearance and provide better nighttime visibility than the basic halogen setup.Acura also gave this ILX a genuinely good chassis underneath everything. You get Amplitude Reactive Dampers, multi-link rear suspension, front MacPherson struts, four-wheel disc brakes, Vehicle Stability Assist with traction control, and electric power-assisted steering. That foundation is a big reason this car still feels composed and responsive. And despite being the fun manual-transmission version, it was still rated at approximately 22 MPG city and 31 MPG highway, so you do not have to give up practicality just because you want something enjoyable to drive. What really makes this one special is the history and condition. This is a clean Carfax vehicle with no accidents, damage, or blemishes, and it is obvious from the way it presents that it has been cared for. Affordable used cars are everywhere. Affordable used cars with this drivetrain, this look, and this level of condition are not.Combine the Bellanova White Pearl exterior, Ebony leather interior, 2.4-liter i-VTEC engine, close-ratio 6-speed manual, exclusive exhaust tuning, black sport wheels, upgraded suspension, black grille, dark tint, red accents, heated leather seats, moonroof, HID headlights, fog lights, backup camera, Bluetooth, premium 360-watt audio, Smart Entry, dual-zone climate control, clean Carfax, and exceptional condition, and this is one seriously cool 2013 Acura ILX 2.4L Premium. This is not just a clean commuter. It is the high-revving, manual-transmission, properly upgraded ILX that enthusiasts actually want.Visit Supreme Motors online at www.thesuprememotors.com to see more pictures of this vehicle or call us at 253-277-0677 today to schedule your test drive. The data regarding manufacturer vehicle specifications are sourced from external entities.
